Camino Verde´s private conservation area officially recognized

Happy New Year! This just in: Peruvian Ministry of the Environment resolution RM 346-2012-MINAM officially recognizes the forests protected by Camino Verde as a private conservation area!  

 

Our allies at the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law posted this story (in Spanish) on our recent recognition as custodians of land that is now considered a conservation area in perpetuity.  The same article can also be found on the Actualidad Ambiental website.

The new Camino Verde Facebook address is here.  Join the over 2000 fans who keep up to date on Camino Verde`s progress on FB.  Also: the new Caminoverde.org is in the works!  We haven`t posted much new information here during the start of remodeling, but please bear with us.  Soon, this page will provide a whole lot of new information.
