Visiting Us

Over the last two years, infrastructure has been developed at the center to house our permanent Grounds Manager, seasonal personnel, volunteers and visitors in rustic, local-style lodgings constructed from local materials.  For each timber tree used in the construction we have planted fifty.  Local design and materials create a living space in harmony with the environment, comfortable and sustainable.  In the coming years, we hope to also construct ecologically sound dwellings at the reforestation center at La Joya, five kilometers outside of Puerto Maldonado, Perú.

 It is our pleasure to receive volunteers and visitors for stays of four days to several months, for enjoying the exquisite natural setting and surroundings or working side-by-side with our small staff to plant and care for trees.  Please contact us to plan your visit, whether you come alone or in a group.  We currently have dormitory-style lodgings for up to five visitors at a time, and unlimited space for camping.  Larger groups can also be accomodated at the beautiful, rustic guest houses maintained by several of our neighbors in Baltimori.  Come to enjoy the stunning power of the rainforest or to see our work for yourself.
